VMA Members and VMS Graduates were well represented at the recent IAVM Venue Management School held at Oglebay, West Virginia in the USA.
Craig Lovett and Julie McLoughlin - both regular Instructors at the VMA Venue Management School - also instructed at Oglebay. Craig is also 1st Vice-Chair of the US School's Board of Regents.
And this year three VMA Members - Meagan Walker from Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust, Stuart Dart from Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust, and Sarah Smith from Sydney Entertainment Centre - participated in the School's Graduate Institute.
Stuart and Sarah are both recent recipients of the AEG Ogden Scholarship - awarded each year at the VMA-VMS to one student who successfully completes the two years of study at the VMS, and further demonstrates achievement in a range of assessment criteria. The Scholarship winner receives enrolment in the IAVM-VMS Graduate Institute at Oglebay, USA, and is also entitled to make at least one venue visit in another city during the trip. All travel and Graduate Institute fees are covered by the Scholarship.

Don't forget applications are now open for this year's VMA Venue Management School - to be held from 6-11 November 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove, Queensland Australia.
Perhaps you'll be the next VMS Graduate to follow in these proud Australian footsteps?
